- Visit the The Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre, located 2km east of town, with exhibition hall, theatre with audiovisuals, library and resource centre.
- The Powerhouse Museum on the site of the old power station, with working exhibits dating to the time of its construction in 1921.
- Check out Banjo's Outback Theatre and Pioneer Shearing Shed, open March - October with demonstrations of wool shearing, pressing, classing and spinning. The performance includes yarns and poetry readings, and refreshments.
